BROWNELL STRING JIG INSTRUCTIONS
AND PARTS LIST
STEP 1
Turn jig base legs (part 14) ¼ turn for
stability. For strings over 80 inches long,
attach jig base connector (part 11) to 70 inch
jig base (part 12) and 42 inch jig base (part
13) with 5/32 bolts (part 10)
STEP 2
Slide leveling plate (part 8) through center
hole in base plate (part 4). Screw on 90 degree
locking knob (part 7) finger tight.
STEP 3
Slide support plate with bolt (part 9) through
center hole in base plate (part 4). Screw on
string length locking handle (part 6). Slide
jig base (part 12) between leveling plate (part
8) and support plate with bolt (part 9) to desired
length.
STEP 4
Screw spindles (part 2) on both ends of base
plates (part 4) with 3/16 bolt (part 3). Screw
1/8 bolt spindle cap (part 1) on top of spindle
(part 2).
STEP 5
Repeat steps 2-4 for base plate with soft yoke
adjustment holes (part 5). Holes A are for regular
string construction. Holes B are for soft yoke
construction.
